I have only seen pictures, so I can't provide much more info. The guitar has an HSS pickup configuration.
The tuners are locking tuners, and the nut is a roller nut.
Can anyone help me to verify what this guitar is? I have searched the Fender database, and I cannot find any information regarding this serial number.

Those first MIJ bolt-on Charvels had a neck plate that included IMC's full address in Fort Worth Texas (including zip code and "USA") and they only said "Made in Japan" on little paper stickers. When Grover first took on IMC as an investor back in 1985/86 they made the decision to use the Charvel name for their import line and keep the Jackson name for their USA line (prior to this the Jacksons were the neck-throughs and the Charvels were the bolt-ons). I suppose Fender was just doing what Kramer and Jackson/Charvel were doing at the same time. Technically speaking those neck plates don't say "Made in USA", they only say "Fender USA" and Fender is a USA domiciled company.
